About: After growing up in a family of artisans and acquiring his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, Jonah Meyer moved to the Catskill Mountains where he pursued his career in building “art furniture.” Meyer’s work has appeared in multiple publications, including Sculpture, American Style, Philadelphia Architectural Magazine, Furniture Style and Interior Design. His work is also included in the collections of famous woodworker Gary Knox Bennett, music producer Marshall Chess, Mignon Durham and Harrison Ford.  

The outgrowth of 15 years of studio work led to Jonah Meyer and fellow artist Tara De Lisio founding SERV CE STATION in a 1950s-era garage, located at the base of the Catskill Mountains in New York, to produce furniture and sculpture in a aesthetic style they refer to as Rural American Design.   

Featuring the use of local sustainably harvested wood or reclaimed wood, SERV CE STATION's woodworkers embrace the traditions of craftsmanship from a time when things were designed with longevity in mind—passing items from one generation to the next—to produce original, contemporary, handmade, hand-finished fine furnishings and sculptures.
